Regulatory authority Ofqual has raised concerns that the new examination format for GCSE and A-level students might cause a distortion in results. Furthermore, the new system has been accused of negatively impacting the mental health of individuals involved in the process, which has led to calls for discontinuing the current approach of relying on predicted A-level grades to secure university placement as the system is deemed to be no longer appropriate for the current era.
We are interested in hearing from individuals who have been involved in the examination process this year to learn about their experiences. If you are a GCSE or A-level student, we would like to know your thoughts on this year’s exams. If you are planning to apply to universities, have recent changes in higher education funding policies influenced your decision to defer your placement?
If you are a parent or teacher, we are keen to learn about the impact of this year’s examinations on children and your experience with the new system. If you work in a university, we would like to hear your perspective on how the current system functions and the changes you would like to see in the future.
